Olivia Rene' Roush is 8 years old today! She is such a blessing to our family!! She loves gymnastics, softball, reading, playing with friends, hugs and kisses....she is just an AWESOME little girl!!!
She loves all things pink, purple and lime green. We got her this adorable balloon at Walmart...so cute...just like her!!! She got clothes, flip-flops, a new pink basketball and an art kit!!!

It took her forever to blow out her little candle....she couldn't think of her WiSh!!! I wonder what it was...

Sisters....Olivia and Callie!!! They really do love each other!! Callie had her eye on all of Olivia's gifts!!! Olivia was the best Mother's Day gift I ever received!!! We love you Olivia!!!

Pink & leopard are definitely the new black!!

I am trying to stay positive about this broken fibula, but some days it is tough! I thought I would share with you the negatives and positives about having a broken leg....this way I can remember the good things that happened during this time!!!
Negatives: leg hurts, can't drive, can't walk without the use of crutches or a walker, can't sleep, crawling up and downstairs, not going toTarget for 3 weeks!!!
Positives: prayers from people all over, fancy leopard cover, dinners brought to my house every night....calendar created by Leigh Ann and Karen, riding to work with my sister everyday, riding home with my dad and chatting with him, naps, my friend Jen coming over every morning to help get the kids ready for school, cards, phone calls and emails from tons of friends that I don't speak to often enough, prizes in the mail, playing Scrabble with my kids, flowers, a messy house that is okay, my mom and mother-in-law doing my laundry, my sister-in-law taking my kids to school everyday, my neighbor picking the kids up everyday, coffee drinks brought to me, so many friends taking the kids to different activities, my husband spoiling me (even though I am pretty sure he is sick of getting me ice water, pain pills, ice , etc.), my friends at work helping me up the stairs & getting me ice water, being carried by God through all of this!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all who have helped me.......what a wonderful blessing to our family!!! When life gives you lemons....make lemonade!!! (wonderful advice from my dear friend Sophie!)
Any broken bones ever at your house???

What a difference a day makes!!

Last Saturday I went down the stairs to get something for my headache......next thing I knew I was sliding down most of the stairs....when I finally stopped....I realized I was in horrible pain & my foot was going the opposite direction of my leg! Not a pretty sight! I yelled for my husband to call 911.....then yelled a few more things.....I need some ice.....get me a drink.....call my sister...call the neighbor...grab the insurance card! Bossy girl even in the midst of a broken leg! Yes......I dislocated my ankle, broke my fibula & tore all of the ligaments in my ankle! I had to have surgery and now have some new hardware in my ankle....I can not put any pressure on my leg for at least 4 weeks...mama is not happy! In fact I am having myself a pity party today!! We were supposed to be going as a family to the Ozarks today! The tears just keep flowing......we were so looking forward to the trip! My awesome friends & family have been taking care of me and have even set up a meal schedule! I am so lucky and I know God will carry me through all of this, but I may need some words of wisdom on how to stay sane with 3 kids, 3 dogs, a husband & a broken leg!!!

REMISSION

My sister Susan took this picture of my dad....she is getting so good at her photography!! I think it is an AWESOME picture and the smile on my dad's face says it all! My dad was diagnosed with Stage IV esophageal cancer 2 years ago....his cancer had also spread to his liver. This has definitely been a roller coaster for the past 2 years.....with radiation, chemotherapy, cyber-knife, spheres, and many Pet scans for my dad. Cancer definitely plays with your emotions, as one day you are feeling pretty good about things & the next day you feel like you can't breath because of so much worry and concern.
Well, I am here to say that my dad is in REMISSION and we are so thankful!!! I believe this is due to many things, all woven together through the hands of God. I believe the doctors, nurses, treatments, my dad's positive attitude and the MANY prayers that were said on my dad's behalf are why we have been given such great news!!! Believe in the power of prayer...it works!!!
